In 2017,Kennedy Welani Tembo was sick and tired of people in his corporate world complaining that Joburg had nothing much to offer,and this is how Micro-Adventure Tour’s journey started.
He set out to prove these people, who lived in their own bubble, wrong.
Driven by passion and the love for the city, Micro-Adventure Tours takes locals and foreigners out on adventurous cycling tours of downtown Joburg and the Cradle of Humankind. They also offer guided visits to opulent Joburg heritage buildings and adrenaline-pumping hiking tours of the Magaliesberg and Drakensberg mountains.
WHY THE NAME MICRO-ADVENTURE TOURS? In short, one must start where people are and know at a micro level what they have around them. This could be in a suburb, town, or the city they are in. Also, one does not need a big adventure to create lasting memories. A Micro-Adventure will be as much fun and create lasting memories without breaking a huge sweat (or the bank).
THE MISSION To raise the flag of Johannesburg high and help break the stigma attached to our lovely city. We will do this by inspiring people to live life without limits, to help people discover the ‘gems’ around Johannesburg and to offer them the most unforgettable experiences in a cost-effective way.
