The house was built in the 1940’s when families were forcefully removed from the Northern suburbs.The house has a history of houses that were built then and were termed ‘MATCH BOXES’in those times,as there were no bathrooms and the toilets were outside .
200metres away from Winnie Mandela’s house and 500m away from the famous Vilakazi Street where most of the Soweto Restaurants and Nelson Mandela’s first house is at.
