This B&B as we will like to call it ,is situated just next to the old Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu houses,Winnie Madikizela-Mandela mansion ,Hector Peterson Memorial &Art Gallery and lot of entertainment and refreshment Restaurants areas.
The house was built in the 1940’s when families were forcefully removed from the Northern suburbs.The house has a history of houses that were built then and were termed ‘MATCH BOXES’in those times,as there were no bathrooms and the toilets were outside .
Lihle Bed and Breakfast is a traditional facility, It provides an executive, safe and affordable accommodation which is reliable. It is situated next to Mandela’s house and Sakhumuzi restaurant and Nambitha restaurant and Tutus house and Winnie Mandela’s house, Hector Peterson Museum.

it is the family business though we employ people when it is very busy.
I started this building the establishment from 2009-2010 preparing for the WORLD CUP.
Our beloved Dolly Hlophe who is now late, was a pensioner survived by two grown up daughters and a grandson. She was a passionate gardener (made jam from her garden produce including own compost & liquid fertilizer with Bokashi), loved beautiful things, the outdoors and her travels to Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Victoria Falls, Mauritius & Bangkok being her highlight excursions. The daughters now run the BnB to keep her legacy alive.
It is close to the Newtown Junction Mall, Museum Africa, Market Theatre, Artist Proof Studio, Sci-Bono Discovery Centre and many more restaurants, shops and an array of cultural experiences in the CBD.
