What to expect
Lace up your walking shoes and get ready to see a side of the city that usually only the locals do. We’ll start out at Curiocity before heading to the Kwa Mai Mai Traditional Healers Market, the Collector’s Treasury (the largest second-hand bookstore in Africa), the Carlton Centre (the tallest building in Africa), Chancellor house (where Mandela and Tambo set up their law practice) and finish off at Little Addis (Joburg’s Ethiopian Quarter).

Bheki Dube
Dubbed the Minister of Tourism in the Maboneng Precinct, Bheki Dube is the force behind Curiocity Hostels and MainStreetWalks.
Come and join us for the tour to one of the oldest houses in Joburg, if not the oldest.
Designed and built by Charles Aburrow in 1897 for Sir Thomas Major Cullinan (well known for founding the Premier Mines outside of Pretoria, where the largest diamond in the world was found in 1905)
We set off our walk at Lebo’s Soweto Backpackers heading towards our look out point with a panoramic view over Soweto. The guide will points our various landmarks and areas and the history of the various sites around the township. You will also see our community garden project as well as the beer brewing station of the home brewed sorghum beer made by women in our community.
By public demand especially those that can’t cycle for our coffee cycling tours; we bring you this Jozi Coffee Walking Tour.
We will explore Jozi CBD’s coffee shops i.e. Goat Coffee, Franklin, Ornate, Cramers etc.
